(More customer reviews)We purchased this ceiling fan for a small bedroom and it looks great! The motor is a little louder than we would've liked, but after running it for a few minutes, it reduced to white noise.My only complaint is that while the globe looks fantastic, installing it made me nervous as the globe seems very delicate and putting it onto the ceiling fan through their clamp mechanism didn't seem very practical. I'm nervous about having to change the bulb eventually because I'm sure it will be difficult to find the replacement part for the globe if it were to break.

(More customer reviews)After 5 months, I still love this fan and came back to buy two more. Its only sound is the wind created by the blades when it's on high. It doesn't vibrate. The remote control, which replaces the wall socket and hangs from the place where the wall switch used to be, has five buttons -- high, medium, low, and off for the fan and an on/off toggle button for the light. The remote can be removed from the wall and placed anywhere you need it within easy reach. Everything works as it should, and the simple, classic design -- just ornate enough to be attractive and not look cheap -- is perfect for just about any room. My husband had no trouble installing it. He didn't even need my help!

OF COURSE, ANY FAN YOU BUY, IF IT IS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS. THE CEILING FAN IS MADE BY HUNTER AND ALL OF THEIR CEILING FAN PRODUCTS HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY. (More customer reviews)We purchased 2 of these after buying a couple Hunter fans in the past.These are top quality fans, both in looks and built quality.Even on high, you can barely hear them.The half globe instead of the 4 individual lights make it look a bit more 'normal' instead of your typical ceiling fan which is a nice touch.The CFL bulb is also nice for the energy conscience consumer.

(More customer reviews)Overall, I like the way this looks on my screen porch. The blades are not quite as dark of a mahogany as they are in the pictures. They are made of heavy plastic and the backs of the blades are not painted to match (ugly yellow). If you are placing this fan where you will be able to see the tops of the blades from somewhere, it would destroy the look you were after.

My only other issue is that the paint is very tender and the primer beneath is a different color (ugly yellow again) so you have to be very careful when installing. For the money, I feel this was a good purchase and would buy the same fan again.
